Tips
Fall Orders: In September, get in 72 cell trays and pot into 1 gallons. Let the roots establish then place outside in a secure area before the first frost. Protect from drying winds and rain — a cold frame is best or protect with bails of straw and mulch. Uncover in spring and let nature takes it course.
- Spring Orders: In February, 125 or 72 cell trays can be potted in deep 4”, 5” or 6”, depending on the variety.
- Most perennials will not be “in color” or bloom for Mother’s Day sales – so bench appeal, photos, good literature and care instructions are a must.
